Most people don't realize that college rooms have different sized beds and regular sheet sets don't fit well. Dorm room bedding is often longer because most dorm beds are 80" long versus 75". We always recommend that you phone and find out before you buy your bedding. You will have to purchase extra long twin fitted sheets if the beds are 80" in length. Remember, a regular fitted twin sheet will not fit an extra long bed.
Some stores will try and sell you an extra long comforter. The truth is that a regular size twin comforter will fit an extra long twin bed just fine. When buying your dorm room bedding for your son or daughter, make sure to purchase good quality cotton sheets that will stand up well to loads of washing. You don't have to break the bank when buying sheet sets only we do recommend you buy quality sets.
If you can afford to buy 2 sets, this is highly recommended as your child will be fighting for washer space with all the other students.
